Emma's first Thanksgiving and Christmas

Thanksgiving was spent with friends this year. First we celebrated at our house with our upstairs neighbors and then we brought food to Keith/daddy at work. After work we went to visit Tara and Frank and their family for dessert. I believe Keith had a second helping of food, lol Thanksgiving is his all time favorite meal!

Since Christmas was going to be Emmies first, we wanted to get things set up as soon as possible. We had a hard time deciding on a tree. Having an almost one year old and a kitten in the house we decided that a real tree didn't have a chance, lol So off to find a fake one that didn't look bad and could take a beating! We found one at target that was a good size and we decided to put it on top of a table, at least it could possibly escape one of the two terrors in the house, lol Each year as a tradition we pick out a new ornament for our tree. We decided to get one that celebrated Emmie's first Christmas!

Emmie fell in love with the tree lights. She laughed and clapped and absolutely beamed every time she saw the lights. Daddy wrapped her high chair with lights and put a big pile in front of Emmie to play with, she LOVED it! We took soooooo many pictures, i'll do my best to only post a few!

Christmas was a quiet time at home just the three of us. Emmie loved ripping the paper, and then playing with it! Honestly we could have just wrapped some empty boxes and she would've been ok with it, lol What a joy it was to see Christmas through the eyes of a child. It was so hard to believe that Emmie was a week away from being a year old!

So Many Memories Too Little Time

Well I said it wouldn't be three months again before I put up a new post, well it's been almost a year! Ugh, time goes by so fast and you get so caught up in the day to day routine you just forget about other things, like blogging, lol. Well Keith got me a lap top so it should be easier now to keep up. I'm not really going to try to back track and catch up. I'll start back by Emmie's first Halloween, then her first Christmas and then her birthday! Then it will be easier to catch up to now!

I found Emmie's Halloween costume in a catalog called One Step Ahead, great catalog! She was a tulip fairy, she looked so adorable!! We had to put her costume on over a sweat suit it was soooo cold out. We met with our neighbor Blaise and her son Yani, he's only ten days older than Emmie! We walked around the neighborhood, posed for many pictures and then headed back home! Then Keith, Emmie and I headed over to another friends house to trick or treat with them and their kids. Their daughter is 30 days older than Emmie, lol We didn't stay out too long it got colder as the sun went down. We ended up going to Deny's. Lol
